SOUL SAFARI Copyright © 2016 by Kam Falk As the sun set The boys, they were placin’ their bets She’s was a huntress, she didn’t make time for regrets When our eyes met I knew that she was scouting her prey She was a veteran and she knew just how to play Soul Safari, you know I was asleep at the wheel Soul Safari, she found her next victim and she closed the deal (Soul Safari) In high fashion she glowed from her head to her toes I took the bait and then I began to propose “Do I know you?” She asked as I stammered away Another wild one on her third cabernet Confused and distracted like never before, I just couldn't find a way out I don't even know if I'll try anymore, I've forgotten what freedom's about I embraced her Obeying every single command The players, they won, but they just don’t understand And she had me moving in the following week We were together, but I was alone on a losing streak Soul Safari, I couldn’t help but see it through Soul Safari, she found her next victim and I had no clue Soul Safari, The boys turned out to be right Soul Safari, she found her next victim and she owned me that night She's pullin' me down She's draggin' me down She's pullin' me way, way, way down

ONE LAST CHANCE Copyright © 2016 by Kam Falk and Marcel Morejon All my life I’ve seen so many dreams left undone But there’s a road ahead where my hope can carry on One last chance I’ll take to fix all that has gone wrong Never mind the crowd, they’ll just sing their judgement song Keepin’ on this way There’s a price I’ll pay I just lost my way I was led astray But I’m only me Searching for a place where I can be free, yeah Feeling out of time, the years have gone and now I see No one’s faith to hold, this time its only up to me And I’m taking chances that I know will lead the way I don’t know if I’m right, but I’m sure that I can’t stay One last chance, this day I’ll be on my way Though I tried to stay I was led astray But I’m only me Searching for a place where I can be free Keepin’ on this way There’s a price I’ll pay I just lost my way I was led astray But I’m only me Searching for a place where I can be free, yeah One last chance, this day I’ll be on my way Though I tried to stay I was led astray But I’m only me Searching for a place where I can be free

I'M NOT YOUR FOOL © 2016 by Kam Falk and Gary Bivona Did you think we didn't know what you were doin'? I wasn't born yesterday An easy mark, huh, who do you think you're foolin' We're not your pawns to use that way You sized us up with a plan for the taking You knew which one would get it done CHORUS No shame's your game Not gonna let you bring us down No time for you You're not the only game in town, because I''m not your fool, I'm not your fool, I'm not your fool, I'm not your fool Don't try to call when you find out what we're doin' Now we're showin' you the door 'Cause we all knew we could never make you listen No use in tryin' anymore Just when you thought you had us trapped in your pocket Watch me show you how it's done CHORUS No shame's your game Not gonna let you bring us down No time for you You're not the only game in town, because I''m not your fool, I'm not your fool, I'm not your fool, I'm not your fool REPEAT CHORUS

HEART OF A SOLDIER © 2016 by Kam Falk Why did I believe, Love it or leave? And why did You choose me to sacrifice I'm scarred for life, I'm paralyzed And you tell me to leave it all behind, well I'd Put it all On the line Any time To be whole again To be home again I had a chance to lay down when they shot me once before That's not what a hero does in war Now I'm back and I'm treated like a villain in this town When I thought it was you I was fighting for I just want to be whole again I remember, it all made sense I just want to be home again ~ Guitar Solos ~ Why do they all stare? Nobody cares Hold on, who said that life ever would be fair? You blessed this war, this rich man’s war Now you beg for your humanity, well they sent you there Unaware, On a dare, And I can't go on I can't go on There’s a battle raging on right here at home, my friend Listen and you’ll hear the muffled screams What they sell is only a delusion in the end When they finally wake you from the dream I just want to be whole again I remember, it all made sense I just want to be home again

Pretending 03:03
PRETENDING © 2016 by Kam Falk I can see that you’re trying to pretend That’s the way to play the game if you want it to end Just think about it, I know you’ll see that we can’t pretend to make it to our destiny It can take away the pain But we’d be living life in vain And going constantly insane What would we lose our souls to gain? What we don’t know can hurt us a lot ’Cause it’s true, communication is all we’ve got So just call me when you’re down and you need a friend ’Cause you know it’s really useless to try and pretend It can take away the pain But we’d be living life in vain And going constantly insane What would we lose our souls to gain? I assure you, I know what it’s like To be the one who’s afraid of simply doing what’s right Been there before, so I know how you feel But our love’s the motivation that keeps it real It can take away the pain But we’d be living life in vain And going constantly insane What would we lose our souls to gain? What would we lose our souls to gain? What would we lose our souls to gain?

HEAVEN IS SHINING Copyright © 2016 by Kam Falk and Marcel Morejon I see your tears drop Another dream lost You’re still believing It’s not a fantasy All that comes your way is meant to be And then the moonlight Becomes your spotlight Your feel your heart ring And you begin to sing And all at once your hope will come alive Heaven is shining through your eyes Sure as the morning sun will rise Lighting you up from deep inside You’re gonna find an open door Nothing like you’ve seen before Shining a light that lifts your life Finding a home for dreams is like a melody Taking your place in life will lead to harmony Pushing your fears aside is when alive you’ll be Nothing else will ever set you free And then the street light Becomes your spotlight And then your daydream Becomes reality All that comes your way, is meant to be Heaven is shining through your eyes Sure as the morning sun will rise Lighting you up from deep inside You’re gonna find an open door Nothing like you’ve seen before Shining a light that lifts your life Your life

about

Like the original Native Tongue enhanced CD (2001), this is a project through which I'm documenting my musical journey and the unique writing/playing collaborations I've had the privilege of sharing with my highly respected close musical friends through the years.
