Humanity in Motion - single (2020)

Composed Christmas of 2019, Humanity in Motion is a jazz funk composition which began with the drum track and features Kam Falk on all instruments, playing as friend and collaborator, Gary Bivona, had suggested for a new original song, and doing some "digging in." This is a thumper and slapper on fretless electric bass, which is rather unusual. That style is usually played on a fretted bass. it is also one of the few original recordings for which I played a prominent guitar melody. Reminiscent of keyboard favorites, Jeff Lorber and George Duke, and the late, great jazz guitarist, Chuck Loeb. Thank you, Shelly Dubow, for the song's title!
