about

This track is my take on a song that has been on my list of favorites since it was originally released in 1997 by the group, Oregon. The album is called Northwest Passage. The song is entitled LOST IN THE HOURS, and was originally composed by Paul McCandless. The original recording was performed acoustically by McCandless on soprano sax, Ralph Towner on guitars, Glen Moore on bass, and Mark Walker on drums. I increased the tempo a bit and gave it a Bossa Nova treatment, doing my best to be as authentic to the style as I could. The melody features recorder, vibes and fretless bass.
